Full Refurbishment and Renovation
The site was a Grade II listed Embassy located in the prime area of South Kensington in central London.
Gestalt Development was enlisted for the full refurbishment and renovation of the exterior of this five-storey 19th century listed building. It had been a long time since the building had been refurbished and the signs of wear and tear, from weathering, car pollution and other surrounding factors, were clear and obvious.
The project also involved restoring historic components to the original windows, pillars and railings. As we were working on a Grade II listed building, we had to be very careful to make sure all of the works carried out were in line with the local planning regulations and expectations. The window frames, pillars and railings was all restored to the original existing materials and painted to match the original look of the building. We are proud to say we successfully achieved the full refurbishment and renovation, with the consent of the local planning authority, to bring this 19th century building back to it's rightful state.
